Huntsman Difficulties

I have been wondering why more Fan sites for Kristen Stewart and the original Twilight movies have not picked up on the fact that the movie Snow White and the Huntsman is having such difficulty finding a "huntsman"?

Perhaps they think it's something private and not good advertising for the film?

Granted that could be a factor, but I'm more inclined to think that it's because Hollywood is still a "Man's World" that women are just allowed to play a tiny part of as a sex objects. Sure over the past 5 to 10 years women have made big strides in the industry ,( they're allowed to be killers and beat up on men, but the roles they can get their acting chops into are very hard to find ), but Universals difficulty in finding the Huntsman for Snow White is really beginning to bother me!

First Vigo Mortensen was originally signed onto be the Huntsman, then backed out. Now, I did read there were scheduling conflicts, but these conflicts only seem to have surfaced after Kristen Stewart signed onto the project.

Next the roll was offered to Hugh Jackman, who turned it down for the same reason as Vigo Mortensen did.

Now I'm reading that Kristen Stewart has agreed to slash her fee - take less money - to get the project off the ground. http://www.slashfilm.com/joel-edgarton-star-bourne-legacy-snow-white-huntsman/

My thinking is that neither of the men asked so far to play the huntsman ego's could tolerate the fact that they would be overshadowed by women!

Think about it.

You have Kristen Stewart who has a fan base that surprised Hollywood ( case in point WFE premier in NYC and the fans that were waiting for Kristen to show up to support her reported BF Robert Pattinson even though there was not official statement that KS would be there - now that's a fan base ) and Charlize Theron http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlize_Theron who is a power house by herself and a large fan base to boot.

It's my feeling that Hollywood males ego's can't take the fact that women's name attached to the project will over shadow themselves, or that those same women's name could attract a larger pay check.
